Tips for Developing a New Business

By Jeremy P Stanfords

To develop new business and gain new clients, there are ways any business can improve. Even highly successful companies can discover ways to improve marketing or public relations with customers.

The first step in developing a company is identifying the strong and weak areas of a business. When a company knows its strengths and weaknesses, it can then use this knowledge to improve its qualities. A business should capitalize on strengths, and it should take active steps to improve weaknesses.

Marketing is a general area in which businesses can always use improvements. Social media is incredibly under-utilized by companies these days. This is a unfortunate, since millions of users access social media sites on a daily basis. By failing to develop an effective social media marketing plan, a company loses out on millions of potential new customers. Even if a company is service-oriented, it should still make efforts to improve social media marketing. A service-oriented business that serves a local geographic region can still find investors who live in other countries and are interested.

The next step in marketing is to choose a brand and stick with it. A brand is the name that customers will remember for years to come. When naming a company, try to choose a catchy and memorable name. A business name should also be easy to say. Creating a memorable name is important, because customers need to remember a corporate name in order to refer it to other friends and family members.

Another method is in learning how other businesses have achieved their successes. A company should always keep close tabs on similar corporations in the same industry. A corporation should never stoop to malicious behavior to compete with opposing corporations. However, a corporation can benefit greatly from learning its creative processes and innovative ideas.

Attending trade shows and networking events should also be part of any strategy for growth and development. Trade shows are a helpful way for businesses to gain new investors and clients. For example, the fashion world depends on trade shows for revealing its newest fashion lines. A trade show is a designer’s opportunity to gain buyers for a new fashion line and also attract new personal clients. Trade shows also are a good place to scope out things that competing businesses are doing to be successful.

Corporations must also have a strong e-commerce presence online. A store website should always be in full working order and have updated links. In addition, the shopping process on an e-commerce site should be very easy to understand for customers of all ages.

5 Simple Yet Effective Steps to Closing More Sales

By Tyler A Pratt

Are you having a hard time closing the leads you generate? This is something that happens to many entrepreneurs while building their business. Networking is so important but we need to find the best ways to deal with new prospects when we come face to face with them. This is the reason I put together the 5 steps to closing more sales.

1. Show your prospect you really do care.

Your new prospect is looking for someone who they think will help them succeed. Showing that you really care will make the opening conversion go more smoothly. I’m sure we have all been hammered by that typical network marketers who just rambles on and on about their opportunity. This is not the person you want to be. Show your prospects your on their side and will do what ever it takes to get them to the top.

2. Be a great listener

When you ask questions learn to listen and consume everything they are saying. People love to talk about themselves and when you listen you show you truly to care. Let people express themselves and talking is the best way. It’s crucial that you gain trust and have a good relationship to better close leads.

3. Find something in common

As you’re talking with your prospect, try and find something of common interest you have with them. When you find a comment interest you are showing your prospect that you are equal to them. All you want your prospect to know is you are in the same boat with them and you found a great opportunity both can have success with.

4. Find out their goals

Really ask some good questions that pulls out the goals of your prospect. Find out where they are coming from and why they are now looking at your opportunity. Ask questions and listen for the response. Figure out what their goals are and then show them how your opportunity can help fulfill those goals.

5. Ask for the sale.

This may be the hardest part for many of you and its the most crucial. If you don’t ask for the sale, well, you wont get the sale. By this time you have built up a great relationship with your lead, and its time to tell them they are someone who would be a great fit on your team. Try and get them to take action right away. It may be a little pressure but most people like the motivation, and they will be more than eager to join you.

The Importance Of Mobile Web Sites For Local Businesses

By Michael Griffin

Web capable cell phones have taken over the market place and because they can access the web it becomes a necessity for business to have mobile ready websites. A mobile ready website can recognize the type device connecting and change the information they supply to it based on what is connecting. Perhaps it sounds like a mobile website is difficult to build, but often this can be done with a software addition to your website.

Before we buy things we like to know more about them, particularly larger purchases. usually we do an online search and read reviews, rankings, and other information that a web search can turn up. Your company can be online and supply relevant information about your products and services and this will give you a leg up on your competition if your information is found instead of your competitors.

There are now mobile devices in the world than PCs. This means that mobile search is increasing and will soon out strip PC search. Google has already declared that in the future it will develop for mobile search and not PC search so if you are not in on this you are missing out.

The rise of mobile search is the number one reason that your company needs a mobile ready website. These searches are being done while the consumer is on the run and the information they find is key to what they buy.

Here are some more reasons your company needs a mobile ready website.

  1. Each year the number of people searching online for information about products and services increases. During the past 10 years this has boomed over 150% an awesome amount.
  2. Of mobile phone users, 40% go online and over 20% of them go online everyday. You need to grab a piece of this increased mobile search.
  3. It is not expensive to build a mobile ready website. Of course you plan a mobile website differently than a regular one, the devices have smaller screens and different navigation and this must be considered. Making such a site is not difficult nor does in take much time.

A mobile ready website is a requirement for today’s business. More and more consumers are going online with their mobile devices and expect to find the information they search for. Will it be information about your company or about your competitor. Where your customers find the information is where they will buy.
